About North Myrtle Beach Rescue Squad (Company 88)
North Myrtle Beach Rescue Squad is a non-profit EMS organization dedicated to providing free Emergency Medical care to those in our community.We provide 911 based Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to a primary response area including the City of North Myrtle Beach, Little River, Cherry Grove, Longs and Briarcliffe Acres.
The Rescue Squad operates at the Advanced Life Support (ALS) level and is staffed by over 40 EMTs and Paramedics, all certified at the state and national level. We are dispatched by the Horry County E-911 Center.
North Myrtle Beach and the Grand Strand area is one of the busiest tourist destinations on the east coast, hosting over 14 million visitors annually that travel to our city for the beaches, an annual marathon, half-marathon, two triathlons, youth sporting events, concerts, and over 100 golf courses.
Our organization has been honored with such awards as “Best Rescue Squad in the Nation” (EMS Magazine), “Best Rescue Squad in South Carolina” (DHEC), and “PIER Award for Public Information, Education, and Community Relations” (SC Dept. of Health and Environmental Control).
